Grégoire Munster, de officiële piloot van het M-Sport Ford World Rally Team, ruilt binnenkort zijn fabrieks-Ford Puma Rally1 in voor een krachtige Groep A Ford Escort RS Cosworth voor de Rally 4 Passion, die op 26 en 27 april plaatsvindt.
Voor de gelegenheid krijgt de auto een kleurstelling die de geschiedenis van de autosport in het algemeen en de rallysport in het bijzonder heeft getekend: de Martini Racing-kleuren!
Gianfranco Cunico racete jarenlang in deze prachtige kleuren en behaalde een prachtige podiumplaats in Sanremo 1995 in een Cosworth Gr.A die gebouwd was in de werkplaatsen van de Jolly Club.
Dankzij Rally 4 Passion kunnen rallyfans hun hart ophalen op 26 en 27 april…
U hebt zonder twijfel al zaterdag 1 juni met stip in uw agenda aangeduid. Tijdens dat – hopelijk zomers en zonnig – weekend trekt u samen met ons naar Hoei voor de Saturday Drive, het eerste evenement van de derde editie van de Rally 4 Porsche.
Er staan die dag zowat 230 kilometer puur rijplezier op het programma, op de mooiste wegen van de Condroz en de Ardennen, samen met enkele gastronomische pauzes en een Garden Barbecue Party om de dag in schoonheid af te sluiten!
Sunday Drive: nog meer plezier
Misschien heeft u ook zin om een tweede dag aan het stuur van uw Porsche in deze mooie streek door te brengen? Dan is de Sunday Drive helemaal voor u!
Op het menu van deze tweede exclusief aan Porsches – van elk type of bouwjaar – voorbehouden toerrit, voorzien op zondag 2 juni, staat een even aantrekkelijk programma… maar dan helemaal anders!
Food Truck Village en sportieve uitstap
De Sunday Drive beschikt uiteraard over een volledig verschillend parcours, met lussen vanuit Hoei goed voor zowat 200 kilometer, maar het leidt u ook langs schitterende landelijke wegen. ’s Middags kan u in ons Food Truck Village de batterijen opnieuw opladen, om helemaal klaar te zijn voor een opwindende namiddaglus.
Want tijdens de Sunday Drive kan u na de middag aan de slag op een privé-circuit, waar u – indien u dat wenst – de paarden (of de watts) van uw bolide de vrije teugels kan geven en u helemaal van de dynamische rijkwaliteiten van uw Porsche kan genieten!
80 € korting dankzij Duo Drive
Omdat u al deelneemt aan de Saturday Drive bieden de organisatoren van de Rally 4 Porsche u met veel plezier een korting van 80 euro per wagen aan indien u voor de Duo Drive formule kiest, en u de Saturday Drive met de Sunday Drive combineert.
Dit rijkelijk programma, helemaal aan Porsche-liefhebbers voorbehouden, kan u uiteraard delen met gasten of andere passagiers.

The Sunday Drive has a different route, with loops from Huy covering around 200 kilometres, but it also takes you along beautiful rural roads. At noon, you can recharge your batteries in our Food Truck Village to prepare yourselves for an exciting afternoon loop.
For during the afternoon of the Sunday Drive, you get to drive on a private circuit, where you can – if you wish – unleash the horses (or watts) of your car and enjoy the dynamic driving qualities of your Porsche to the fullest!
80 € discount thanks to Duo Drive
If you already participate in the Saturday Drive, the organizers of the Rally 4 Porsche are happy to offer you a discount of 80 euros per car if you choose the Duo Drive formula, combining the Saturday Drive with the Sunday Drive.
You can share this rich programme, reserved entirely for Porsche enthusiasts, with guests or other passengers.

A few years ago, Pierre-Julien Kaufmann made a name for himself with his speed, particularly behind the wheel of the Renault Twingo R1 and R2. With Valérie Lemineur on his right, here he is again behind the wheel of a legendary Renault, an impressive Clio Super1600….
With this car, the regional driver is also sure to be one of the attractions of this first Rally 4 Passion. This Renault Clio Super1600 comes from Italy and was followed in Namur by Benoît Blaise’s team. It made its debut in the World Rally Championship at Rally Catalunya 2004.
For the occasion, it gets an emblematic livery: that of official Renault Sport driver Simon Jean-Joseph in the 2004 French Rally Championship, exactly 20 years ago! That year, Simon had a double programme, France and Europe. As part of this programme, he was also present in Ypres, but in a different livery, a combination of his main partner’s blue and yellow.
Een paar jaar geleden maakte Pierre-Julien Kaufmann naam met zijn snelheid, met name achter het stuur van de Renault Twingo R1 en R2. Met Valérie Lemineur rechts van hem, zit hij hier weer achter het stuur van een legendarische Renault, een indrukwekkende Clio Super1600…
Met deze auto wordt de regionale rijder zeker ook een van de attracties van deze eerste Rally 4 Passion. Deze Renault Clio Super1600 komt uit Italië en werd in Namen gevolgd door het team van Benoît Blaise. Hij maakte zijn debuut in het Wereldkampioenschap Rally tijdens Rally Catalunya 2004.

Als onderdeel van dit programma was hij ook aanwezig in Ieper, maar in een andere kleurstelling, een combinatie van het blauw en geel van zijn belangrijkste partner.

En provenance d’Italie et suivie à Namur par l’équipe de Benoît Blaise, cette Renault Clio Super1600 a entamé sa carrière en Championnat du Monde des Rallyes, au Rally Catalunya 2004.
Pour l’occasion, elle disposera d’une livrée emblématique : celle qui était utilisée par le pilote officiel Renault Sport Simon Jean-Joseph en Championnat de France 2004, voici précisément 20 ans ! What does this Ford Escort Cosworth Gr. A mean to you? Do you have memories of this car?
I was not yet born when this car raced at the highest level (ed.: Grégoire was born in December 1998), but the images that I have are the passages of François Delecour or Bruno Thiry, with of course his unfortunate retirement in Corsica as well. Rally 4 Passion will therefore be an ideal opportunity to see what Gr. A-cars from back then were able to, and give the fans some fun. We are here first and foremost to provide some entertainment!
Teaming up with Bruno Thiry, a Ford factory driver 30 years ago, is also a nice nod to rally history.
Definitely. Together with Freddy Loix and Patrick Snijers, Bruno Thiry is one of those drivers who have left their mark on Belgian rally history. And I am looking forward to forming a team with him, and we are both wearing Ford colours as well. That will be fun.
You will not have the company of your usual co-driver Louis Louka.
No, that is right. Because it is a ‘fun’ rally, this was an ideal opportunity to finally drive together with my best friend Raphaël Lekeu – who follows me at almost every rally. Craig Breen, for example, also had the habit of driving with his best friends at historic rallies where there was no competition stress. I look forward to share this experience with Raphaël.

Wat betekent deze Ford Escort Cosworth Gr.A voor jou? Heb je eigenlijk herinneringen aan deze auto?
Ik was uiteraard nog niet geboren toen deze auto op het hoogste niveau reed (red.: Grégoire is geboren in december 1998), maar de beelden die ik me voor de geest kan halen zijn de passages van François Delecour of Bruno Thiry, met uiteraard ook zijn ongelukkige opgave in Corsica. Rally 4 Passion wordt dus een ideale gelegenheid om te zien tot wat die Gr. A’s van toen in staat waren. En vooral ook om het publiek plezier te bezorgen. Want we zijn er uiteraard in de eerste plaats om de show te verzorgen!
Team vormen met Bruno Thiry, die 30 jaar geleden fabrieksrijder was voor Ford, is ook een mooie knipoog.
Zeker en vast. Samen met Freddy Loix en Patrick Snijers is Bruno Thiry één van die rijders die duidelijk hun stempel hebben gedrukt op de Belgische rallygeschiedenis. En ik er echt naar uit om samen met hem een team te vormen, en we staan allebei in Ford-kleuren bovendien. Dat wordt echt plezant.
Tijdens deze rally krijg je voor één keer niet het gezelschap van je gebruikelijke co Louis Louka.
Neen, dat klopt. Omdat het een ‘plezier’-rally is, waar fun het belangrijkste doel is, was dit een ideale gelegenheid om eindelijk eens samen met mijn beste vriend Raphaël Lekeu – die me zowat bij elke wedstrijd volgt – een rally te rijden. Craig Breen had bijvoorbeeld ook de gewoonte om bij historic wedstrijden waar er geen competitiestress was met zijn beste vrienden te rijden. Ook hier kijk ik er naar uit om deze ervaring met Raphaël te delen.
